Fix: Bengaluru will Host Final match of IPL-2016

After the Bombay High Court ordered the shifting of 13 IPL matches out of Maharastra, the Indian Premier League (IPL)on Friday picked Bengaluru as the venue for the finale. However, Kolkata is the proposed venue for the Eliminator and Qualifier 2.

This decision was taken by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after Bombay Highcourt ordered BCCI to shift all IPL matches to other states after April 30.

The IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla on Friday met the representatives of the Rising Pune Supergaints and Mumbai Indians and it was decided to shift to IPL's final and the first Qualifier to Bengaluru. The second Qualifier and the Eliminator have been proposed to be moved to Kolkata.

In the meeting the affected franchises were given options to pick from Raipur, Jaipur, Visakhapatam and Kanpur as their alternate base. Pune opted for Visakhapatnam while mumbai ndian sought two days' time to choose their new base.

Shukla said," We will propose before the Governing Council that Final and Qualifier 1 be shifted to Bengaluru, while Qualifier 2 and Eliminator to Kolkata."

He even added,"After speaking to the franchises, we have given them four options: Raipur, Jaipur, Kanpur and Visakhapatnam. Mumbai Indians have asked for time till day after tomorrow (to give their preference). Pune has given Visakhapatnam as its preference. We will put the proposal of Pune team before the Governing Council."
