Saurav Ganguly the former cricket player and captain of Indian team praised the current Test captain Virat Kohli.

Saurav said that, Virat is the one who reminds me my older days as a captain.

“It absolutely does (remind me of my playing days as captain). His positivity is his biggest asset, and that is why he is such a terrific skipper, I rate him very highly, both as a player and as a captain. I think Kohli is good for Indian cricket,” Ganguly said.

“Look, these are tough wickets. There have been some who have missed out, but these are quality batsmen you are talking about, the likes of (Ajinkya) Rahane and Kohli. I think our batting is in safe hands,” said the Bengali cricketer.

“It’s very hard to compare. I always judge them on how they perform away from home. Ashwin has always been India’s strike bowler in these conditions. There’s no doubt about that. Even in the past, when he started his career four or five years ago, he would get a lot of wickets in these conditions. The ball turns, and the SG Test ball is tailor-made for spinners. Look at Jadeja. He’s also a terrific bowler in these conditions. So, once the ball turns, these are dangerous bowlers.”
