Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar on Friday addressed a rural sports camp called Isha Gramotsavam which was organized by Isha Foundation at Coimbatore. In his speech, cricket legend said that, “sports taught him to get up on his feet again and compete in the right spirit.”

                                            He also added that, "It is not always I went out and succeeded. But there were number of occasions, when I could not do well. But sports taught me to get up on my feet again and compete in the right spirit."

                                          "Sports mean everything to me and sports taught me a lot of things in life... to be disciplined and to be focused, Sports is something, which gives you a reason to smile. It is hence I am smiling in front of you," told the sensation of the cricket.

                                          Recently, Tendulkar has adopted a village near Nellore in Andhra Pradesh named Puttamraju Kandrika. In this speech he also asked the foundation people to organize sports events in such rural places where most of the women want to play the outdoor games.

"Engaging in sports helps the community to come closer and stay tighter in difficult times. Sports teach you on team work, which can never fail, If you apply it in your day to day life, most of the problems will be solved," he said.

He also expresses his love towards Volleyball, in childhood he used to play Volleyball on his building.
