Australian Batsman named Philip Hughes who had lost his life when he was struck by a bouncer on the back of the neck during a domestic play at Sydney was remembered by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Keeping that death and injuries in mind the England and Wales Cricket Board has kept a rule of mandatory wearing of helmet in the cricket game.

The ECB chief medical officer Nick Pierce said that they have to take proper precautions while playing the game out of which one is to compulsory wear a helmet.

Pierce also said that one player has to check out the rules and safety standards of the latest British safety measures before wearing a helmet.

 Previously there were many injuries reports due to the absence of helmet so they have taken an appropriate safety rules for the players to save their lives.
