Pakistan Cricket Board has come up with a new idea of selecting the players from across the country. Chairman of PCB, Shaharyar Khan decide to launch a web portal through which the talent hunt may become much easier and every talented person from the country including remote places are also recognized.
According to the reports, PCB will shortly launch a website on which the talented and interested players can post a video of their batting and bowling skills and also with a brief description about themselves.
One of the board officials said that, "These videos will then be viewed on a regular basis by the coaches at the NCA who will assess the talent on display. If the coaches find anyone suitable for future consideration he will then be called to the NCA for a further trial."
For this process, the internet facilities will be made available for the remote places in Pakistan and "The idea is to not only expand the base of raw talent around the country but to also ensure no deserving player (s) is ignored in future,” said the official.
The talent hunt was already started by the former captain and fast bowler Wasim Akram by organizing a camp for young players in Karachi.
