Pak blames it on India !
True to the tradition of blaming India even for natural calamities, Pakistani police say
that they suspect Indian intelligence agents could be behind the
murder of a lawyer representing deposed Pakistani Prime Minister
Nawaz Sharif.
"We have a consensus among us that this terrorist act is to tarnish the
image of Pakistan, especially when Bill Clinton is to visit our country," Karachi's
acting police chief Akhtar Hussain Gorchani has said. Pakistani authorities often accuse
India's Research and Analysis Wing intelligence agency of acts of terrorism in Pakistan.
Gorchani said the murder of Iqbal Radh could be designed to destabilise
Pakistan ahead of the visit of US President Bill Clinton later this month. "It is a
terrorist act and is probably sponsored by RAW to show Clinton that the law and order
situation is worsening here," Gorchani said. But, he added: "We are looking at
other aspects as well."
