China Planning Grand reception to Modi in Shanghai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi net foreign tour to China, Shangai itinerary is ready post his stellar performance Square Garden in New York, Allphones Arena in Sydney and recently three nation tour in Germany, France and Toronto. BJP is expecting a turnaround of more than 10,000 to gather Indian Diaspora and to make this a grand success BJP is coordinating with the Indian community in China to organize a “grand reception” for Modi in Shanghai on May 16. This event scheduled for china visit from may14-16 will be the grand finale. After this visit, Modi will head to head for South Korea from there. May12 is the date when Prime Minister Modi will start his three-nation tour with Mongolia. Ram Madhav, former RSS leader who is now National general secretary was in China earlier this week to finalize details of the event which would be first of its kind in China. The party is in the process of making this a gala event and ensuring a huge turnout at the event. BJP’s in-charge of party’s foreign affairs cell and overseas friends, Vijay Chauthaiwale, is expected to visit Hong Kong over the weekend to coordinate with the huge Indian community there. “We are reaching out to the burgeoning Indian community in China and the huge NRI population in Hong Kong comprising Gujaratis, Sindhis and Marwaris. They are all extremely enthusiastic about the event,” a senior BJP leader told to reporters. 45,000 indians are presently in China as per recent estimates. This includes 13,000 students and the rest are indian businessmen mainly from North part of india and professionals realted to Information technology sector working in various multi-national companies in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangdong. Shanghai was chosen for the mega-event since it’s the biggest city in China with a population of 24 million and also the global financial hub even though Modi will be visiting Beijing and the historical city of Xi’an. “It will make for grand optics for Modi and India. With India’s economic growth expected to overtake China’s in the coming years, an event like this will showcase the emerging India,” the BJP leader explained.
