Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Varanasi for a day in which he attempts to preserve the history.

In the early morning, he has given 600 odd e-rickshaws and also pedal rickshaws to help the people in need to improvise their family’s livelihood.

“Sach hua Sapna, rickshaw hua apna” (my dream to have rickshaw has come true) is the tagline for the scheme under which he has given away free rickshaws to the needy.

Around 500 e-rickshaws were equipped with cameras and GPS device will roll out in the city to indicate the improvements that are going to place.

Prime Minister wanted to develop Kashi (another name for Varanasi) like Kyoto, a heritage city of Japan. Many of the officials who visited Kyoto also borrowed ideas from them and implemented in the city, but it has not changed a little also.
