To clarify and discuss regarding the issue Modi had invited Congress Vice-President Sonia Gandhi and Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to his Race Course Road Residence at 7 PM.
The Parliamentary affairs minister Venkaiah Naidu said that, "Modi called Sonia Gandhi and offered her to join him for discussions on important legislations that are pending in the House. He has also requested Manmohan Singh to join them for the meeting. Everyone wants Parliament to function without any disruptions. I hope discussions on all issues will take place in the House.”
This is going to be the first ever face-to-face meeting between Modi and Sonia after BJP’s victory in the last year elections.
The main reason to call them for the discussion is, the opposition used to blame the BJP for not calling and involving the opposition in the biggest Tax reform.
"We have absolutely no hesitation even at the level of Prime Minister. We have never had in it in the past; we don't have it (now). He is willing to speak to everyone,” said the Finance Minister Arun Jailtely.
