                                Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 5th visited Bodh Gaya. In his course of visit, Prime Minister will visit the Mahabodhi Temple and the Holy Bo Tree.

He will also inaugurate the Exhibition “Chetiya Carika: The pilgrimage and Quest for Truth.” On his visit to Bodh Gaya Modi has spoken the following words:

  2. He said that, Buddha’s teachings had inspired millions of people over centuries.
  3. Gautam Buddha gave eight-fold path and the Panchsheel while Shri Krishna gave invaluable lessons of life said Modi.
  4. Bodh Gaya is the land of enlightenment.
  5. Great privilege to have participated in the Inaugural function of the first International Hindu Buddhist Initiative.
  6. Hindu philosophy was one of the greatest beneficiaries of advent & teachings of Buddha.
  7. Buddha never bowed down to anything, neither Veda, nor caste, nor priest, nor custom.
  8. Buddha was a great preacher of equality.
  9. Buddha was the first human being to give to this world a complete system of mortality.
