Two Indians out of four, who were kidnapped in Sirte in Libya, have been released on this Friday.”Four Indians abducted in Libya- I am happy we have able to secure the release of Lakshmikant and Vijay Kumar. Trying for the other two,” the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted.

Of the abducted, two are from Hyderabad, one from Raichur and the other from Bangalore. They have been leaving in Libya for more than a year and working as Faculty in the University of Sirte.

These four were detained on Wednesday, at a checkpoint about 50 km away from the town on their way back to India. All are hoping the similar luck for the other two people from Hyderabad.
