The Versova Police arrested a 23-year old woman for running a prostitution racket from a rented Mhada flat in Andheri (West).the arrest was made after a raid was conducted by a police team with the help of Indian Rescue Mission, an NGO that provided the preliminary information.
"In an apartment located near Lokhandwala Circle, the pimp, a lady, owned a production house named VR Entertainment Event and Production. The firm used to lure aspiring models and actors to come and get a break in Bollywood. The victims were later asked to work as a commercial sex worker (CSW), after which half of the money earned was taken by the pimp herself," DNA quoted president of the NGO James Varghese as saying.
The investigating officers have found names of many high-profile customers were found in the documents recovered from VR Entertainment’s office, reported Mid-day.Vaishnav prepared the girls, brought from Gujarat and Delhi, for nude photo shoots and sent the photos to customers via WhatsApp. After the customer chose the girl, Vaishnav decided the price.
The police have recovered more than 100 photos of different models, most of them from different parts of the country. The investigation has revealed that businessmen and known faces from Bollywood were in touch with the accused.
