Famous bollywood stars Raveena Tandon and Manoj Bajpayee payed homage to the freedom fighters by their short film titled Jai Hind.
Jai Hind is a 6 minute long digital film, released on You Tube starring Manoj and Raveena is an initiative by OYO Rooms, a technology driven network of hotels as part of their social media campaign 'Azaadi4me'.
What would happen if India hadn't become Independent back in 1947? How different would 2015 India be like if the British were still ruling India? The short film runs around this story.
"As an artist, to encapsulate such a powerful message in such a short format is both challenging and exciting. It's a pragmatic film with a strong social message that I believe will force the audience to stop, step back and introspect," Manoj said in a statement.
"It gives the audience a new perspective on the freedom they enjoy. As a proud Indian, this film serves as a powerful reminder of how lucky we are to be part of an independent and democratic India," said Raveena.
Finally the moral of the film is thanking Indian freedom fighters for our freedom.
