The video ‘My Choice’ featuring Deepika Padukone has created a lot of buzz on social media. Celebrities and the entire society is criticizing the actress for being part of feminist movie that promotes adultery, cheating, disloyalty and anything but women empowerment. Latest to join the league is Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor and National award winner Kangana Ranaut. Talking to an Indian media ‘Khoobsurat’ actress said, “Elitist women have always had wrong ideas about feminism. They think male-bashing, hating men makes you a true feminist. I don’t have to make a video to voice my opinions. My actions have always spoken louder than my words. I’m proud to be a woman and I respect my independence. I’m never afraid to give my opinion on any matter. That’s what feminism is about.” While the ‘Queen’ actress said, “Women empowerment does not mean you create complex among men. Then it will take 20 more years to empower men. It is all about evolving as a soul, as a human being. It does not mean that you become a ‘sexist’”.  On the other hand actress Kalki Koechlin somewhat supports Deepika’s point of view on women empowerment. She said, “I think what Deepika has spoken in the video makes sense. I do understand the counter argument too where everyone has been saying that had men said the same lines about having sex outside marriage being their choice, they would have been branded idiots or ass****s. However, we still do have a clear cut demarcation or boundary as to what men and women are supposed to adhere to,” media reported.
