Sonam Kapoor had a hit with Swine Flu while filming the movie in Gujarat. At that time she had missed her four-five days journey of the shooting and then joined the team and finished her part later.
The censor board asked the film team for three cuts. The movie was presented to CBFC on Friday where they asked the team to cut the word Chinar the second cut was from Antakshari sequence. The other cut was from a song where it was asked to change on the religious basis.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is the copied version of Hollywood’s Anthony Hope directorial The Prisoner of Zenda.
In the song Jalte Diya, a romantic number keeping the theme in mind the total set was decorated with 7000 diyas. It was said that around 150 people had worked to keep the diyas burning throughout the shoot.
