In 22 hours, Kabali teaser has clocked in more than four million views and two lakhs likes, which is a record for any South Indian film.
Till now, only Ajith and Vijay have created records for Tamil film teasers and trailers but Rajinikanth has shown Kollywood that he is a superstar even in the current age of social media, while other actors are way behind him.
The one-minute six-second long teaser shows superstar Rajini deliver one of his ‘punch’ dialogues. So great was the response that the teaser was retweeted more than 36,600 times, pushing it into the league of topics trending worldwide. Within 90 minutes of its release on YouTube, it garnered more than 1 lakh ‘Likes’ creating a record.
Directed by Ranjith, the audio launch of Kabali is likely to happen by the end of this month. We also hear that the film might either release by June last week or for Ramzan weekend.
