It's definitely great news for Salman Khan and his fans. His driver, Ashok Singh, has confessed he was driving the car when it crushed people sleeping on the pavement, back in 2002. It's definitely a reprieve for Salman Khan who has been involved in the case for the last 13 years! Salman had earlier recorded a statement this it was his driver who was driving the car when the accident happened. He had also told the court that he was in the passenger seat when the accident occurred, and did not flee the accident site, rather helped his driver call the police control room. In fact, his driver even denied accepting any money for confessing this in court, and further added that it was when the tyre burst and the brakes jammed that the accident took place. This should come as huge relief for Salman and his family because, if convicted, he could face up to 10 years in jail.
