Actor to Provide Water to 50 Drought-Hit Villages

Kannada actor Yash has taken the lead in Sandalwood to extend a helping hand to those affected by drought.

Yash, along with his team, under his foundation ‘Yashomarga’, has launched a water supply programme for 25 villages of Kalaburagi district on alternative days. The programme will be extend to 25 more villages in Vijayapura district, in the near future.

Yash said, “After 1972, the state is facing one of the worst droughts. There is water requirement in at least 4,000 villages. But I voluntarily picked a handful.”

“I don’t find it necessary to mention the cost. My only intention is to help people and I hope it will be an inspiration for many, who can come forward and work for the cause. This is a platform I have created for my trust, which I want to expand further. If anybody is keen to be a part of this, we are ready to guide them.”
