Modi had clearly declared that the central has no role to play in the incidents which took place recently.

When pointed out Modi regarding his response to the Dadri Lynching, where a Muslim man was beaten to death for storing and eating beef, he responded and asked people to maintain unity for the development of India.

While speaking to a leading Bengal dairy he expresses his opinions on Dadri.

Modi said that such attempts are being made by other political parties who will think that the minorities are their vote banks. “The Dadri incident or the opposition to Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali are unfortunate, unwarranted. But what is the role of the central government in these incidents?”

“BJP does not support such incidents. By bringing them to the fore, the opposition is trying to accuse BJP of communal politics. But don’t these attempts show that they are the only ones practising the politics of polarisation?”

“Such controversies have happened in the past too. BJP has always opposed pseudo-secularism. Today when we are faced with such an unfortunate social malady the same debate has resurfaced. This can only be resolved through discussions.” Modi said.
