Modi Visit to US, India’s FDI Increased

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting New York on September 23rd. Why do Modi always visit other countries, what do we get in visiting? May strike your mind. Yes, on Modi’s visit to the foreign countries India’s FDI has increased to 27 percent than the previous year.

FDI, a Foreign Direct Investment is a controlling ownership in a business enterprise in one country by an entity based in another country.

Modi’s personal touch with other countries has helped Indian business a lot, mainly “Make in India” which was initiated by him is the major factor in the increment of FDI. India had received $19.78 billion (Rs 1.3 lakh crore) in FDI in 2014-15 from a dozen countries for which Modi had visited.

Among the countries Modi visited, Japan committed to invest $35 billion, South Korea $10 billion, China $20 billion, France $2 billion, UAE $75 billion.

Around 50 top CEO’s of the fortune 500 companies have confirmed participation at the dinner hosted by Prime Minister. He will also host dinner in Silicon Valley when he visits West Cost on September 26 and 27.

“An event that I am enthusiastic about is the ‘India-US Start-up Konnect.’ India is emerging as a hub of start-ups in a wide range of areas and we aspire to take this further. We want the world to see our innovation capabilities in the start-up sector. At this event, a group of Indian start-ups will showcase their innovations and forge partnerships with the vibrant American start-up industry,” said the leader of India Modi.
