Prime Minister Narendra Modi today started addressing the nation with his bi-monthly radio programme “Mann Ki Baat”.

The trendy PM turned to twitter to announce the timings of the radio programme as "#MannKiBaat at 11AM today. Looking forward interacting with you through the radio."

In his speech in Mann Ki Baat he had spoken about the importance of Organ donation, said about India- Africa foreign summit, gave some valuable words on Swachh Bharat, Employment opportunities and etc.

Here are the important points:

PM Modi speaks about organ donation and how students spread awareness through symbolic messages in the country. “Organ donation is very important in this country. Only 5,000 successful transplants are done every year. Every year we need at least 1 lakh eyes. Many accidents occur every day and people are in need of organs every now and then. Today I can say that Tamil Nadu is in the forefront in organ donation. A national helpline is also available for the same. Few days ago we saw how a liver transplant saved a life.”

“India-Africa foreign summit is all set to happen in New Delhi. Africa and India have a similar number of populations. 25,000 African students are studying in India and this summit will be an important one for the future,” said Modi.

Bumper offer for government posts was announced by Modiji, “From Jan 1, 2016, interviews for lower posts won't be necessary. This has been implemented. There will be no requirement of interview for Group D, C and B posts in central govt.”

Modi speaking about Unity in Diversity as, “Unity should be our medium. Unity in diversity is our country's pride. Sardar Valbhbhai Patel made great efforts towards unity. Run for Unity is all set to happen on October 31.”

Wishing people for the coming auspicious Diwali said, “My hearty wishes to you all on the occassion of Diwali. Have a safe and happy Diwali. I will be visiting Britain. Let's work towards Babasaheb Ambedkar's mission. Let's live and strive towards the development of this country. Let's encourage students from tribal and backward communities.”

Modi ended up Mann Ki Baat telling that he will be receiving the comments and queries of the whole nation on mygov.in.
