This will definitely embarrass Prime Minister Narendra Modi who always emphasises on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It has been revealed that there is no toilet in the government schools of Modi's hometown Vadnagar, Gujarat.

Though Gujarat Government claims that it has built the highest number of toilets in the country, government schools in Modi's home town and also chief minister Anandiben Patel's home town Vijapur in Mehsana district do not have toilets.

This information was revealed by state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama in the state assembly in a written response to MLA Prahald Patel.

The MLA asked, "How many government schools in Mehsana district don't have boys or girls' toilets and what action government has taken so far to address the issue."

In response, the minister said, "Vijapur and Vadnagar schools don't have boys or girls' toilets."

The Gujarat government has made Rs 780 crore allocation for the construction of seven lakh toilets in 2016-17.
