Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences to the families of the dead people in train accident at Madhya Pradesh. The two trains named Janata express and Kamayani express were derailed at 11:30 PM near River Machak.

Modi tweeted that, "My prayers with injured. Authorities are doing everything possible on the ground. The situation is being monitored very closely."

According to the reports, more than 300 people have been rescued. All the trains from the same route are diverted and some are halted.

The Railway officials announced a compensation of 2 lakhs to the families who lost their valuable lives and amount of 50000 to the injured people.
