The speed and a clever bowler after Kapil Dev is none other than Zaheer Khan has announced his retirement from Indian International cricket on Thursday.
Though retires from 14 years long career in International cricket was willing to play IPL till 2016. He was recorded as the highest wicket-taker in ICC World Cup 2011 with 21 wickets.
Zaheer Khan represented the country in total 92 Tests and 200 ODIs in which he picked 282 wickets in Test and 311 wickets in ODIs.
The 37-year-old debuted in the cricket industry in the year 2000 and played till 2014’s game against New Zealand at Wellington.

VVS Laxman said, “I am sure @ImZaheer will continue to contribute to Ind cricket especially in the development of young fast bowlers.#LEGEND.”
Rohit Sharma said, “Happy retirement @ImZaheer.” Test captain Virat expressed his views on Zaheer as, “To a great fast bowler & an even greater person, I wish you luck in all future endeavours @ImZaheer bhai. You have inspired many like me.”
