Kumar Sangakkara will hang his boots and rests the bat after his last play and 134 Test at the P Sara Oval against India which starts on Thursday. This will become an emotional moment for him and to the team of Sri Lanka too.

In his 15 years cricket career, he accumulated a total of 12,350 runs in 133 Tests.

Ravi Shastri told that, "He broke into being one of the top players and he never got out of that. There are very few players who fall in that list. You can bring Tendulkar in that league as the kind of player that once broke into the top two or three and never moved out of there. He has got runs world over and scored double hundreds like it is a pass time. He is equal with Sir Donald Bradman."

Indian Test captain Virat speaking about Sangakkara said that, "A lot of lefthanders really look up to him. His technique and the way he has scored runs all over the world, his numbers speak for themselves. He is a wonderful human being; I have had quite a few chats with him on the field and away from the field as well. I am actually glad that he is going to be playing his last few games against us because it is a special occasion for us to be a part of.

Kohli finally concluded saying, Such a legend of the game retiring, as a young side it will be an honour for us to give him that respect in his last few Tests," he added."Hopefully, he doesn't score too many runs against us but I really wish him all the luck with his life after cricket. It has been wonderful to know such a great player and a great man."

Sachin Tendulkar also added his opinion on Kumar Sangakkara as, "He's been a fantastic, world-class cricketer. It's been great to watch him grow as a cricketer. Towards the beginning of his career, he wasn't a big hitter of the ball. However, I feel that he really picked it up in the second half of his career, where he would change gears and attack at will. It was part of his growth as a cricketer, and that comes with experience. Sangakkara exploited this experience beautifully. His consistency in this period was amazing. It was the sign of a world-class cricketer."

"He had his own style of batting. Left-handers are generally good to watch, and so was he. Of course, as an opposition player, I naturally didn't enjoy watching him bat when he got going! Sangakkara has had an accomplished career. He has been a role model for not just the Sri Lankans, but for cricketers across the world," Tendulkar said.
