The controversial Decision Review System (DRS), which has been always opposed by India and skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni would be functional during all the 49 matches to be played during the World Cup. The ICC held a two-day meeting in Dubai where it was confirmed that the DRS would be used during all the 49 matches to be played at the event in Australia and New Zealand. The DRS has always been a center of controversy for India as BCCI has always opposed the accuracy of the system and the technology used. It is also remembered during the last World Cup in 2011 against England at Bangalore, there was a heated controversy regarding a dismissal of Ian Bell and even the DRS was unsuccessful in solving the problem, which was criticised by few great cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar.
