Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended his warm greetings to Singapore on their auspicious day called Independence Day.
Modi conveyed the greetings as “Greetings to the people of Singapore as they mark 50 years of Singapore’s Independence.”
He also said that, Ties between India and Singapore are very special. This year we are celebrating 50 years of partnership of robust and comprehensive partnership with Singapore, a partnership that has grown tremendously with the passage of time.”
The 64-year-old further added that, several people of Indian origin have made Singapore their home. Singapore’s expertise in urban development, costal development, affordable housing deeply respected.
"I have had productive meetings with President Tony Tan and PM Lee Hsien Loong and other senior functionaries from Singapore. We are confident that our relationship will scale new heights in the years to come," he added.
