Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday inaugurated a story-telling museum in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Modi, along with Mukherjee and Vice-President Hamid Ansari, unveiled a series of books on various aspects of life in President’s Estate.

He later said, “Our political backgrounds are very different, yet when I came to Delhi in 2014 and was very new to the ways here, he acted as a guardian and a mentor to handhold me through the initial days.”

He urged people to come and visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan museum to relive history.Mukherjee said transfer of power has always been smooth in India because of the Constitution. Recalling his own ignorance about what lay inside Rashtrapati Bhavan, Mukherjee said, “For 43 years I lived within a stone’s throw, yet I knew only the Ashoka Hall… When I came here four years ago, I thought that people must know (about the President’s Estate). To some extent we have been able to do that.”
