As soon as he landed in India after UAE visit, Modi travelled to Arrah, Bihar to address the people who keep hope in Modi government. The Bihar state assembly elections are ahead away which are going to happen on October-November.
Prime Minister announced a whopping amount of Rs 1.25 lakh crore special package for Bihar. Saying that his government is committed to development and progress of Bihar he started addressing the crowd.
Words of Modi at Bihar:
Today I will announce the package for Bihar. 50,000 crore, 60,000, 70,000, 75,000, 80,000?" the PM asked as his audience cheered, and then said, "Today I promise Rs. 1.25 lakh crore."
"Our chief minister said with authority that Bihar is no longer a BIMARU state. If it is true, then I will be the happiest person... Tell me, if somebody is healthy, will he go to a doctor... I am surprised that on the one hand, he says Bihar is not BIMARU, and on the other, he keeps asking for something or the other."
Earlier government played with pride of Bihar & gave only Rs. 12,000 crore. From that Rs.1,000 crore was what was left from Atal ji time.
I promise you that I will implement this package fully. I also announce an additional special package of Rs 40,000 crore for Bihar.
