Surprisingly 20,000 students have passed while only 12,800 students have appeared for the exam.

This incident took place at Agra which conducted B. Ed exam for 12,800 students of Agra’s B. R. Ambedkar University.

According to media reports, “The matter of 7,000 suspicious students came to light when the private agency preparing the BEd results objected that they only had the data of around 12,800 students while copies of over 20,000 students were checked.”

"VC Mohd Muzammil has instituted a committee to probe how the final results tally showed 20089 students when around 12,800 students were enrolled in all the affiliated colleges. The university has issued letters to private colleges where these ghost students allegedly studied," states the report.

"Private colleges then claimed that they had taken more students against seats lying vacant and these extra students also took the exam," added VC.

"As many as 191 BEd colleges affiliated to Dr BR Ambedkar University had claimed that more than 40% of their seats were lying vacant and they suffered losses due to this,” quoted the leading daily.
