India Stands First in Sanitary Need

The whole World is discussing about the World Toilet Day which falls on November 19th. What is the need of Toilets today and how many of them demand for Toilets in public places or during travelling was estimated by the survey.

Let us go in detail and revise it. It is a study conducted by the online travel community portal. This study was conducted on 32,000 Indian travelers.

At last the study reveals that 92% of the travelers need toilets on highways, 89% of them needed sanitary at sightseeing places, 86% at religious places, 76% at buses or bus stations and 70% at remote and offbeat destinations.

The requirement of Toilets is much needed especially for women. According to one more study it is said that India has world’s longest queues for Toilets when compared to other countries.

Due to the backwardness and non rural development there is no much aware of the disadvantages caused due to non availability of our own toilets.

"The resulting health crisis is a serious matter. More than 140,000 children younger than five years die each year in India from diarrhea. Nearly 40 per cent of India’s children are stunted; this will affect both their life chances and the future prosperity of India," said the survey conducted by the non-profit organization named WaterAid.
