India took four steps forward and now has been ranked 130 out of 189 countries in the Ease of doing business.

According to the World Bank Rankings in terms of ease of doing business for 2016 India steps ahead from 134 to 130. This shows the effort of the Modi government which supported the country for the betterment.

Earlier in 2015, India’s rank was 142 but with the mid-revision of WB it has reached to 134.

The two main reasons for the improvement of the rank is ease of starting business and securing an electricity connection.

"In 2014, the government of India launched an ambitious programme of regulatory reform, aimed at making it easier to do business. Spanning a range of areas measured by 'Doing Business', the programme represents a great deal of effort to create a more business-friendly environment, particularly in Delhi and Mumbai," said the report.

While Pakistan fell 10 positions from 128 to 138 compared to last year. Singapore occupied the top rank followed by New Zealand, Denmark and South Korea. Whereas, China developed in its ease and improved form 90th to 84th rank.

Considering the following ten parameters the World Bank ranks countries- starting a business, dealing with construction permits, getting electricity, registering property, getting credit, protecting minority shareholders, paying taxes, enforcing contracts, trading across borders and resolving insolvency.
