Four Indians have been kidnapped by the ISIS in Libya out of who two were from Hyderabad, one from Bangalore and the other from Raichur.
Reportedly, this Kidnap was happened at Sirte town near Tripoli. The kidnapped Indians were the faculty at the University of Sirte. "We came to know at 11 pm that four Indian nationals who were returning to India via Tripoli were detained at a checkpoint approximately 50 km from Sirte," said foreign ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup.
MEA is in contact with the abducted families and also said that the ISIS did not raise any further demands. The officials are making all the possibilities to ascertain the whereabouts of these Indians.
