Two year old Gives Life to six more

Two months short of three years, Yatharth Upadhyaya from Bengaluru saved the lives of six people after his death. Yatharth's heart which was still beating was rushed to Chennai by the hospital authorities to save the life of a two year old Chennai boy who was in urgent need of heart and getting treatment in Fortis Malar Hospital. Sudarshan Ballal, Medical director of Manipal Hospitals said Yatharth was admitted in hospital after head injury and was diagnosed with post cardiac hypoxic encyclopathy. He said the boy was declared brain dead after examining the brain at three intervals. Yatharth's parents themselves volunteered to donate his organs. They gave away his eyes to an eye bank. Yatharth's liver and Kidney have also been harvested and other organs are being donated to a recipient in Bengaluru. Yatharth's father Amit Upadhyaya, a techie himself who was tear filled said he saw nothing wrong in donating the organs of his son. Speaking to media he said 'I came to know that my son was not going to come back and decided to save some child in need,'.
