It was only yesterday that the Telangana assembly became the hot bed for arguments and counter arguments over farmer suicides and power crisis. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and several others including MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi blamed Andhra Pradesh and Chandrababu Naidu for the power problems. KCR also said that AP CM is the cause for Telanganas problem and that according to the re-organisation law; Telangana should get 53.89% electricity, which is not happening since June 18, this year. AP government is blocking 980 megawatts of power from reaching Telangana state, he added. On the other hand, TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy reeled out figures from SRLDC data to show that TS drew more power than AP. According to the data, for the period from June 8 and November 1, from the total 27,948 MU utilised, Telangana state used 17,150 MU and AP 12,839 MU. Was it an intentional move by KCR to bring up the discussion on power just before the short discussion of farmers suicides, so that the opposition will have lesser chance of countering his allegations? If it was, then the move seems to have backfired as Revanth went on and on reeling out data.
