An eight years old boy, in Shamli died on Sunday, allegedly in a celebratory firing after native elections outcomes have been introduced right here.
The Samajwadi Party staff have been celebrating the win of candidate Nafisa in the elections when the incident happened.
“A youngster aged round eight was happening a rickshaw. He was hit by a bullet and died,” Circle Officer of Kairana I.K. Singh stated.
“It is feasible that he was hit by bullet fired in celebratory firing. We are investigating the matter,” he added.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday lashed out SP on this incident. "Samajawadi party is a party of goons. When you appoint goons, then it results in jungle raj. When they win they fire gun shots, and unfortunately a child is killed. So, when the party full of goons are there, innocent will be killed," BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh told media here in a pressmeet.
