Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil on Wednesday said that BJP is trying to rule the J&K State indirectly and killing time to achieve its political targets in view of coming Assembly elections in various States.

In a press statement issued today,  Mr Vakil said that in the garb of alliance BJP is ruining the democratic and federal structure of India by treating Jammu and Kashmir as a slave State. He said that it is the right of every State to get the Central share of funds for development purpose but BJP is using the Central financial assistance to States as a tool for achieving its political goals. Former Minister said that BJP is setting dangerous and wrong precedents by using compulsive tactics.

Mr Vakil urged PDP president Mehbooba Mufti not to let down his father’s political standard by begging and bowing before BJP. He said that PDP’s inception was an outcome of Late Mufti Sahib’s self respect as he neither budged before any power nor allowed others to exploit him if Mehbooba really wants to follow footsteps of her father, she should take care of that self respect achieved by her father and people of the state and should not beg before Central Government for taking up CBM’s and providing financial assistance to the State. And if, Central Government deviates from it then Mehbooba should support dissolution of Assembly.

Former Minister said that BJP is trying to rule the State indirectly and kill time so that it achieves its political targets in view of future Assembly elections of various States. Once again, terming the alliance of BJP and PDP as unnatural and unholy in political arena, former Minister said, present political positions and compulsions of these parties has now substantiated the terminology of unnatural and unholy, used for this alliance.
