Amarinder Kamboj who is the retired vice-president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) on Tuesday gave a hilarious surprise to the congress party leaders.

He joined the Congress party in the year 1998 after leaving Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) who was the head of Punjab unit. He contested for Lok Sabha elections from BSP party but defeated despite getting 2.4 lakh votes.

Amarinder who is well known as a staunch person suddenly quits Congress and joined the Delhi’s ruling party Aam Admi Party.

“The Congress has become a bunch of sycophants. As an ex-serviceman, I admire discipline, but this word has no place in the Congress dictionary. Everyone is involved in groupism, be it Amarinder, Bajwa or (Rajinder Kaur) Bhattal. In such a scenario, I don’t see the Congress taking on the SAD-BJP alliance,” said the very loyal Amarinder.

The reason behind his jump from congress to AAP is, he is very much impressed by the AAP’s transparent functioning and its intolerance towards corruption.

“Those who ensured my defeat in 2012 were given plum postings. I never got a hearing on any forum about my complaint,” said Kamboj.
