The precious idol of Lord Mahavira which was stolen by some unidentified from a jain temple in Jamui has a history of 2,000 years.

This idol was so precious and was two thousand odd years older. Keeping this situation in mind the Home Minister of Central Rajnath Singhcalled up Nitish Kumar and advised him to make some serious investigation on that issue.

The idol weighing 250Kg and which worth several crores was stolen from a temple near Lachuar village. This incident took place on Friday night.

The idol was in black color and was under the protection of the Archeological Survey of India.

But, in real it doesn’t have any security said according to the reports. In a telephonic conversation between Rajnath and Nitish, Rajnath took all the details regarding the theft.

On Nitish’s order the director General of Police P.K. Thakur and a special team was under the action to catch the thief.
