The Controversy which was started on Tipu Sultan’s birthday celebrations is increasing day by day.
Many of them were injured some of them lost their lives in the protests caused due to the opposition of BJP leaders for celebrating Tipu Sulatn’s birth anniversary.
BJP opposed for the birthday celebrations of Sultan as he was anti Hindu leader. He was not a freedom fighter but a religious bigot who forcibly converted thousands of Hindus to Muslims at his time.
Even his son, Hyder Ali who was called as the Tiger of Mysore fought against Hindus to enlarge his kingdom of Muslims.
The Karnataka Congress government had celebrated Tipu Sultan’s birthday celebrations whereas the BJP leaders protested it and boycotted the celebrations.
A local Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader died in the protests at spot and the schools, colleges were given holiday due to the controversy that has been increasing day by day.
The VHP, Bajrang Dal and the BJP party leaders had opposed the state government celebrating the birthday.
For protesting and demanding the Karnataka CM siddaramaiah to resign from the government the BJP leader Pratap Simha and the Jnanpith awardee Girish Karnad had received death warnings.
