BCCI Decided to reduce its members

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants to reduce their panel or committee members so that they can save money which was being spent on their flight charges, accommodation and all.

According to the cricket buzz, a senior board official has said that the board has spent a total amount of 18 lakh on their last marketing meeting comprises of 29 members which lasts for only 20 minutes.

The expenditure includes their flighty tickets, accommodation, and transport charges, etc. one of the senior officials said “We need to get rid of the extra unnecessary members from various committees. The NCA committee has 17 members, and whenever we convene a meeting, it seems we are attending a conference and constructive decisions were never taken due to a lack of cohesion.”

Members in various committees are as such, in Marketing there are 29, NCA 17 and in IPL governing council there are a total of 16 members.

The new board president Shashank Manohar has taken the decision to cut down the unnecessary members and reduce them from double digit to single.

The selection of the members will be based on the seniority and the suitability of the members in the particular committee.
