BCCI to develop cricket in North East

Board of Control for Cricket in India wants to develop cricket in the North East side of India.

Including Meghalaya, they wanted to spread the importance of cricket and also sanctioned 50 lakh rupees to develop indoor stadiums for practice.

"The Board is committed for development of cricket in the North East states," Thakur, who was on an official visit to the state's capital, said.

Thakur to work out the plan decided to travel throughout all eight states in North East and also wants to conduct some small tournaments from January next year.

They really want to bring out the talent hidden in the backward states and highlight their strength.
