Every Cricketer in his life time wants to break the record of Sir Don Bradman’s Test Batting Average of 99.94. Today we are wishing him 107th birth anniversary.

On this regard we will remember some hits in his career…..He was often referred to as “The Don”. Bradman was born on 27 August 1908 at New South Wales. Don invented a new method of playing cricket when he was young, using cricket stumps as wickets and golf ball as a cricket ball.

Bradman turned to the Australian Test team cricketer from bush in just over two years of span. Postage stamps and coins have appeared in Australia and also a museum was dedicated to his life when he was still alive. On the centenary of his birth a gold coin with Bradman’s image was released.

No player has scored average more than 61 after playing 20 Test match innings. Out of 80 Test innings, Bradman scored 29 centuries and only one player could reach the count of completing 29 centuries that is Sachin Tendulkar from India.

He was hospitalized with Pneumonia and died on 25 February 2001 aged 92. He has a highest series batting average 201.50. Highest ratio of centuries per innings. Most runs in one series. Mot runs in one series.
