Pakistani Cricketer who married Indian Tennis Star announced his retirement from Test Cricket to give chance for the young talents.

According to the cricket buzz, it was declared by Shoib that he had announced his retirement to make a way for youth.

“We have some good youngsters and now is the time to retire,” said the former captain of Pakistan.

The 33-year-old cricketer made his ODI debut in the year 1999 and Test debut in 2001.

The strong reason behind his retirement was to focus on the upcoming World Cup which is going to happen in the year 2019.

His highest Test runs are 245 which were made against England in this year. ODI centuries he made was 143 against India in the year 2004.

In his career he has taken over 100 ODI wickets. He was ranked second in the ICC ODI all rounder ranking in 2008.

Announcing his retirement he said that, “I’m giving up my spot for new talent.”

“All I can say for sure is that Test format is a real Test. Mentally, I had kind of retired from Test format some time back, as I decided to focus only on one-days and T20s,” said the Pak cricketer.
