Due to intense rains in Chennai many of them are losing lives and livelihood many left homeless and everyone are hoping for the support from government.

If this is like so, there is one more incident which was very heart touching. As, people are suffering from many health issues because of heavy rains many of them were shifted to hospitals for health support.

18 ICU patients were on ventilator at the MIOT hospital in the city. But, they are died due to non availability of power in the city.

Lack of oxygen cylinders and power 18 people were reported died at the hospital.

"MIOT Hospital was treating 575 patients when the floods started; 75 critical patients were on ventilator. 18 patients died & seven patients were shifted to different hospitals." Radhakrishnan, the state health secretary said the reason of death was still unclear and the investigation is underway.

“Meanwhile, expressing solidarity with the people of Chennai in this hour of crisis, that his ministry and associated PSUs remain committed to providing all possible support to the people of Tamil Nadu,” Union Coal and Power Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said.
