Crucial Rains in 100 years

In 100 years this is the first time where crucial rains are pouring in the state of Tamil Nadu where thousands of people left homeless and waiting for the rescue operations to take place.

Many of the laces near the Adyar River in Tamil Nadu have left many houses with heavy water till second floor.

People started rushing to the top floor and waiting like orphans for the support and rescue operations.

Due to heavy down pouring of rains, the Air India officials had decided to shut the Chennai International airport till December 6th.

There is a chance of increase in death toll and this situation continuous till next 48 hours said the weather forecasting officials.

Till now the death toll has reached to 197 people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed regarding the situation with the state’s Chief Minister Jayalalitha and assured complete assistance and also held discussions with the cabinate members Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitely, M Venkaiah Naidu etc.

"Home Secretary is continuously monitoring the situation. I had a conversation with PM Modi and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. We are providing all necessary help,” said the parliament affairs minister.

"Saddened by loss of human lives & serious damage to infrastructure in Chennai due to heavy rains. My prayers and good wishes are with the people of Tamil Nadu during this difficult time," tweeted President Pranab Mukherjee.
