163 Indian fishermen were released from the Central jail in Karachi, Pakistan. They abducted because of the illegal entry and fishing in Pakistani waters in the Arabian Sea.

On August 2nd, Pak released the fishermen from Karachi prison as goodwill indication. This decision was taken by the Pak officials after a meeting between Narendra Modi and Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The main objective of the meeting is to release the fishermen from each other’s custody along with their boats within 15 days. This meeting also includes many things to follow by both the countries for the better relationships.

As a reason of violating boundaries, these fishermen were under custody for about a year. The released were handed over to Indian officials at the Wagah border on Monday.

In their return to India the fishermen who include three minors and 160 adults were given gifts by the government agencies.
