Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi,calling him a “liar†and “natakbaaz†while addressing a public rally at his parliamentary constituency Azamgarh on Friday. This is Mulayam’s first visit to Azamgarh since the Lok Sabha elections last year in May. “Our Prime Minister is engaged in all sorts of ‘natak’ every day and fooling the people with his ‘natak’. He lies for the whole day and makes promises which are never fulfilled. Making false promise is a fraud and Modi is an expert in committing fraud and in speaking lies,†Mulayam said. The SP chief also chided the PM for letting US President Barack Obama “insult†the country. “Before leaving India, Obama raised fingers on our Constitution which is like insulting the country. The BJP government did not react which shows the country is helpless and weak where it concerns the USA,†he claimed. Mulayam also pulled up Modi for failing to bring back black money from foreign banks. “He (Modi) should tell people how much black money he has brought back. He has instead alerted the account holders through his speeches and those who had black money have now withdrawn it.†He added that if the PM cannot bring back the illegal money from foreign countries, he could at least reveal the names of those who held the illegal accounts. Mulayam also said that due to Modi’s wrong policies, poverty, corruption and starvation are on rise with nearly 65 per cent of the country’s population poor. He also claimed that ‘socialism’ is the only answer for country’s development.
